Our Story - Wussow's Concert Cafe

The History

It all began in the summer of 1999. The main purpose was to create a welcoming atmosphere for anyone who loved great conversation, amazing coffee, healthy food, and the best original music; a place to socialize during the day, work or study in the afternoon, and enjoy concerts at night.

It’s been over 20 years since we first opened the doors and we are endlessly grateful for the deep friendships we’ve made, our amazing staff, countless local and national touring musicians, and the continued support of the great community of West Duluth.

Today

We are grateful to our community! Thank you for taking such great care of us through every difficulty, from major road construction outside our front door to an international pandemic. We’re a little place with big dreams. Our growth into new areas of service and scratch local food have far exceeded our initial goals established so many years ago.

Our conference and meeting rooms above the coffeehouse offer a private and relaxing setting for small parties and business meetings. Ongoing local art openings showcase the passion and hard work in our community. Our intimate 5-course dinner shows have been a great success; keep an eye on the calendar for our next one! And the creation of our recording studio offers musicians the opportunity to have their live shows recorded, mixed, and mastered at reasonable prices with very little effort.

The Future
